DE LA COCINA / FROM OUR KITCHEN
Mexico has one of the world's most amazing gastronomies, with food & drink woven into culture & daily life; enjoyed today as it was hundreds of years ago.
Milagro's food is rustic & unpretentious, staying true to the traditional dishes we love. We use the freshest ingredients, combining native chiles & spices with quality local produce, dairy & meats.
The result, colourful, fresh, aromatic & rustic dishes, rich in flavours, full of character & with the distinctive depth & heat that only chiles can bring to food.

Pescado Rodrigo
Spanish immigrants introduced cantinas in the 1500's —traditional eateries where folks sipped local tequila & mezcal, enjoying delicious rustic fare— In the early days, cooks blended European recipes with local techniques & ingredients —corn tortillas, different chiles, chocolate, seasonal vegetables— creating a revolutionary cuisine that would earn world wide recognition.
Arturo Anhalt, Milagro's Founder, remains at the helm of Milagro's kitchen as Executive Chef, preparing with his team of Sous Chefs & Cooks, the foods he loves to eat & share.

Milagro Cantina was founded in 2006 by Andrés & Arturo Anhalt, born & raised in Mexico City. Growing up, they visited the city’s many traditional cantinas. They designed Milagro to reflect the atmosphere & spirit of a true cantina; a place where guests experience the charm of these amazing establishments.

Milagro is lively & bustling; we work hard to capture the true charm & spirit of Mexico City’s great cantinas, offering authentic, delicious fare, great spirits & classic cocktails through warm, caring & genuinely friendly service.

At our cantina (the word also refers to the bar) we prepare classic cocktails & craft our Margaritas with our in-house triple sec & fresh lime juice —The 'Clásica' prepared with Tequila Blanco, 'La Oaxaqueña' with Mezcal infused with our Mole Negro chiles & spices & 'The Milagro' with chile ancho & pasilla infused Tequila—
Our original cocktails are crafted with infused Tequilas, Mezcals & vodka, finished with a variety of salt rims we prepare with ground chiles. We offer the best Tequila & Mezcal the regions offer, cervezas & a wine list that features Latin American, Spanish & Ontario wines.... Salud!
